Weldstone grew rapidly from a mid size tungsten electrode production company to the market leader in TIG-electrodes and expanded the business scopes to other tungsten related markets such as tungsten heavy metal, tungsten copper and special tungsten alloys. Today, Weldstone is one of the leading producers of tungsten products and serves the most demanding industries such as automotive, aerospace, measuring devices and others. Weldstone is currently expanding its global customer service network. The Weldstone Group already has distribution locations in the USA, Europe and Asia and also provides great local customer service.
Weldstone is able to control the entire production processes, starting from raw materials APT or tungsten powder, until the finished product. Due to the result of the continuous growth and development efforts, Weldstone just opened its new state-of-the-art 12,000 m² (129,000ft²) tungsten production facilities equipped with the latest production, machining, and measuring equipment available today. To provide the best service to its clients, Weldstone set up a global network of international experts who provide knowledgeable solutions and customer service. In April 2014, the latest acquisition has just been executed by the IBG's USA tungsten expert team, Astaras, Inc, a Weldstone Sister Company. Astaras, Inc bought the entire Anviloy® Tungsten business from CMW International, Inc. This means Anviloy® Tungsten Products are now manufactured and sold by the Weldstone Group. In North and South America the Anviloy® Tungsten Products are available at Astaras, Inc. in Florida. For European customers Anviloy® Tungsten Products are available at Weldstone in Germany. This is another important step for the Weldstone Group in strengthening its leading position in the tungsten world.

Core areas
Weldstone supplies semi-finished products and blanks based on tungsten and tungsten alloys in various geometries and compositions. Available are a series of standard alloys which meet the different standards like e.g. ASTM B777, MIL-T-21014D or AMS 7725E. Additionally there are individually designed materials offered which are adapted to the respective customer requirements.
Weldstone supplies most of the products as ready-to-use end products. In this way, customers benefit from the machining processes specially tailored to these materials and receive high-precision products with a full guarantee. Since in many cases final blanks can be produced, customers save money on materials and get cost-optimized solutions.
Weldstone represents the complete production process, from powder production to CNC processing. This allows Weldstone to produce and combine very individual materials. The joining of materials by welding, soldering, back-casting and other methods are also adaptable. Special CNC-machining processes complete the range of tailor-made customer solutions.

Anviloy® as a semi-finished or finished product for precision tool holders.
Advantages of Anviloy® over steel tool holders:
- Double rigidity
- Twice the mass
- The reduction of vibrations to a minimum increases the accuracy of the machining and thus allows to achieve high-precision machining results.
- Anviloy has inherently high mass and high stiffness. These properties make it ideal as a tool substrate material where less rigid and less massive materials would rattle.
- The high thermal conductivity (three times that of steels) provides an added benefit by allowing tools to run cooler and extending tool life.
